This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
We are a small operation and we collect as little as the service requires.

What we collect
When you use a free calculator
- Business name
- Owner's name
- Date of birth
- Business category and stage (optional)
- Any number you enter into a tool — mobile, GST, domain, partner's details
This is processed to produce your result. Free calculator inputs are not stored against your identity and we do not build a profile from them.
When you buy a report
In addition to the above:
- Email address (to deliver the report)
- Mobile number (to identify your order)
- UPI transaction reference number (UTR)
- Order reference and the products purchased
We need all of these because payments are verified manually against your UTR before a report is released.
Automatically
- Google Analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, referring site
- Google Search Console data — search queries that led to this site, aggregated and not tied to individuals
We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags or social media trackers.
What we do not collect
We do not collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs, bank credentials or any payment instrument details. Payment happens in your own UPI app. We only ever see the UTR reference number you send us afterwards.
Why we process your data

Your date of birth is processed only to calculate Life Path, Birth Number and Personal Year. It is never used for identity verification, never shared, and never combined with any other dataset.
How long we keep it
Order records — name, date of birth, email, mobile, UTR, order details — are kept for 3 years from the date of purchase, for accounting and dispute resolution. After 3 years they are deleted.
Report content is generated at the time of delivery and retained for the same period.
Free calculator inputs are not retained against an identity.
Analytics data is retained according to Google's own retention settings.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Ever.
We share data only with:
- Google (Analytics and Search Console) — usage data, subject to Google's privacy terms
- Our email service provider — your email address, in order to deliver your report
- Our hosting provider — as an unavoidable consequence of the site being hosted
We will disclose data if legally required to do so by a competent authority.
Cookies
This site sets cookies for two purposes: making the site function, and Google Analytics. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
You can block cookies in your browser settings. The calculators will still work; only analytics is affected.
Your rights under the DPDP Act
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
- Erase your data, subject to our accounting retention obligations
- Withdraw consent for processing at any time
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us and receive a response
To exercise any of these, email hello@businessnamenumerologycalculator.com with your order reference. We respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
Data security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on our hosting provider's servers. Access is restricted to the site operator.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. Because we do not handle payment credentials at any point, the most sensitive category of data simply never reaches us.
Children
This service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone we know to be a child. If you believe a child's data has been submitted, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change. The "Updated" date at the top reflects the last revision, and it is generated automatically rather than typed, so it is always accurate.
