Your business name's ruling planet points to a specific colour palette, a set of logo shapes and a typography direction. This calculator identifies your planet and gives you the branding that reinforces it.
Business Logo & Colour Numerology Calculator
Get planet-aligned logo colours, shapes, and font styles for your business name's ruling planet — Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Rahu, Mercury, Venus, Ketu, Saturn, or Mars — based on Vedic colour numerology.
How this calculation works
The business name is converted to its Chaldean single digit, which maps to a ruling planet. Each planet has a traditional association with particular colours, forms and materials.
The calculator returns four things: favourable colours, colours to avoid, logo shapes and motifs, and a typography direction.
How to read your result
Use the favourable colours for the primary and secondary brand colours. Use one neutral and one accent alongside them — a full palette of a single planet's colours becomes monotonous.
The shape guidance matters more in the logo mark than in the wordmark. Circles and sunbursts for Sun, curves and crescents for Moon, structural squares for Saturn, sharp diagonals for Mars.
The typography direction is a starting point rather than a rule. A Sun name wants authority, which a strong serif delivers; a Mercury name wants clarity and speed, which a clean sans-serif delivers.
What to do if the result is poor
If your existing brand leans heavily on a colour in the avoid list, do not rebrand overnight. Demote it to an accent role and introduce a favourable colour as the new primary over the next design cycle — a new website, new packaging, new signage.
Gradual shifts preserve brand recognition, which is worth more than a fast numerological correction.
What this calculator does not tell you
This reads the name's planet. It does not know your industry conventions, your competitors' palettes, or your accessibility requirements. A colour that is numerologically ideal and illegible at small sizes is the wrong choice. Design judgement comes first; use this to choose between options that already work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I rebrand if my colours are wrong numerologically?
No. Shift the unfavourable colour to an accent role during your next natural design cycle. Brand recognition is worth more than a fast correction.
Do logo shapes really matter?
They matter in the logo mark more than the wordmark. Shape guidance is a design direction, not a requirement.
Can I use more than one planet's colours?
Yes. Use your ruling planet's palette for the primary colours, and draw the accent from a friendly number's palette. Avoid the enemy planets' colours as dominant tones.
Does this apply to business cards and signage too?
Yes — every surface where the brand appears. Business cards and signage are where colour numerology is traditionally applied most closely.
