Domain Name Numerology: Check a Domain Before You Register It

A domain name carries its own number, and its extension carries a planetary energy of its own. This calculator reads both, and compares the domain against your business name so the two are not pulling in different directions.

Domain Name Numerology Calculator

Check your domain name's numerology before you register it. We calculate the Chaldean compound of your domain name, the planetary energy of its extension (.com, .in, .io), and its match with your business name's number.

Based on established Chaldean, Pythagorean, and Vedic numerological principles. For guidance and self-reflection only — not professional business, financial, or legal advice.

How this calculation works

The domain is read in two parts.

The name portion — everything before the dot — is converted using Chaldean values and reduced, exactly as a business name is. Hyphens and the www prefix are ignored.

The extension carries its own energy. Commercial extensions behave differently from country extensions, and the calculator factors this into the reading.

The result is then compared against your business name's single digit to check whether the two agree.

How to read your result

The most important output is the match. Where the domain and the business name share a single digit, brand energy is consistent across the name and the web presence — the same signal reinforced twice.

Where they differ, you have a split. This is not damaging in itself, and thousands of successful businesses run on mismatched domains. But when you are choosing a domain and have several available options, choosing the one that matches costs nothing and removes the inconsistency.

What to do if the result is poor

If your registered domain does not match, do not re-register on numerological grounds alone — the SEO and brand cost of moving a domain is far greater than the benefit.

If you are registering a new domain, test three or four available candidates before buying. Small spelling changes, a different extension, or adding a short qualifying word will often produce a matching number while keeping the domain memorable.

What this calculator does not tell you

This does not check availability, trademark conflicts, or SEO value — all of which outrank numerology when choosing a domain. Check those first, then use this to break ties between candidates you are already happy with.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the domain extension change the numerology?

Yes. The extension carries its own planetary energy, so the same name on .com and .in read slightly differently.

Should the domain match my business name number exactly?

Matching is preferable but not essential. Treat it as a tie-break between domains you would be happy with anyway.

Do hyphens count in domain numerology?

No. Hyphens and the www prefix are ignored; only the letters are converted.

Should I change an established domain because of numerology?

No. The SEO and brand cost of moving a live domain far exceeds any numerological benefit.
